Welcome!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on transferring to the University of Arizona. It is a great place to achieve your educational goals, meet amazing people, and grow as an individual. Sometimes the transition to the U of A may seem difficult, but the Transfer Center is here to help. My name is Andrew Berkley and I am one of the Transfer Student Assistants here to help you navigate your first few semesters at the U of A. I am currently a senior pursuing a degree in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, & Law and a minor in Mandarin Chinese.

While I am an Arizona native, I am also a transfer student myself, having spent my freshman year at California State University, Sacramento. I transferred to the U of A to have a greater academic challenge, have a greater variety in my college experience, and to get away from all those pesky California squirrels.

I spend the majority of my time on the main campus, so you might run into me anywhere. You can find me at the Transfer Center assisting students, growing spiritually at the Newman Center, in the resident halls planning programs for my residents at Pima Lodge, blasting my pecs at the Rec Center, or at the library studying (seriously though, I averaged almost 30 hours a week in there last year!). While dedicated to my studies and my jobs, I find time to unwind by making/listening to music, photography, reading, and hanging out with friends.

If you have questions or concerns, there are people and resources on campus that can help you. As a Transfer Student Assistant, I will be more than happy to connect you with these resources. Above all else, I want to get to know you personally as you begin your journey at the U of A.

Bear Down!
