Alessia Cicconi
Hi! I'm Alessia. I transferred to the University of Arizona from a community college back home in Pasadena, CA. I'm currently majoring in Communication and minoring in Italian. I am of Italian heritage and spend most of my summers in Italy with family. Because of this, I joined the Ciao Club on campus my first semester and volunteered to tutor students learning the language.
When I'm not in school, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time by the ocean. After receiving my Bachelor's degree I plan to move back to Los Angeles and pursue a career in public relations and marketing.
Transferring out of state to a large, public university was a tough transition for me. Thankfully, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. And thanks in part to services like the Transfer Center, settling in couldn't have been easier. I can't wait to help other transfers connect with students and organizations and find their place at the UA.
